Our Mission
Seaside Academy will provide your child with the utmost satisfaction for developing their curious minds. Our students will be inspired to investigate with the interactive atmosphere so they can challenge their own curiosity and interest. Seaside is focused on delivering superior education designed to prepare students for their next chapter in life. With a newly remodeled facility, a 30 year veteran teacher as well as a registered nurse on staff; through direct and indirect instruction your child will be prepared for whatever Kindergarten brings. All children are unique individuals and nourishing their minds with information will bring out their ability to becoming lifelong learners. Studies have shown that students who enter Kindergarten with a solid foundation, in which we provide here at Seaside, will see greater success throughout their school career.
Our Curriculum
At Seaside we utilize the Learn Every Day preschool curriculum. This is a comprehensive research-based year-round curriculum that incorporates play into children’s daily learning routines to enhance their growth and development. We believe in the power of play and that guided play is a great approach to learning new concepts. Research shows that high-quality instruction and high-quality free play do not have to compete for time in the classroom. Doing both well makes each one richer. We use the Learn Every Day curriculum to provide nurturing and play- encouraging environments for our students.
Our curriculum is thoughtfully designed to provide a well-rounded educational experience that prepares children for success in kindergarten and beyond. In our classrooms, children have access to a variety of learning centers, including:
Dramatic Play: Inspiring imagination and creativity through role-playing and storytelling.
Art: Fostering self-expression and creativity through a wide range of art materials and techniques.
Science: Cultivating curiosity and critical thinking skills through hands-on experiments and exploration of the natural world.
Manipulatives: Developing fine motor skills, problem-solving abilities, and mathematical concepts through engaging manipulative toys.
Blocks: Promoting spatial awareness, collaboration, and engineering skills through block play.
Library: Nurturing a love for literacy and language development through a rich selection of books and storytelling activities.
Weekly Themes
Each week we embark on an exciting thematic journey, exploring topics such as the ocean, dinosaurs, life cycles, and more! We will provide a rich and meaningful context for learning. The Learn Everyday curriculum integrates these themes into all aspects of learning which includes art, science, language, and dramatic play!
